• We believe in the importance of diversity. Individuals with diverse educational and cultural backgrounds manage the corporation. Our recruiting process and project staffing reach out to tap not only U.S. and European professionals, but also specialists based in developing and transitional countries. Diversity brings a myriad of perspectives that are critical to innovation and creative problem-solving. |

IIJD’s staff, chapters and regional representations are committed to helping communities and families solve their self-defined day-to-day living problems in ways that are sustainable, practical and self-reliant. |
• We believe that significant development to countries’ legal framework and the creation of transparent, independent, reliable and accessible judicial systems is necessary for substantial economic, social, political and human development. |
• We believe in reforming institutions, helping and empowering individuals and communities. Hands-on community involvement results in more effective, practical, accessible, and sustainable programs that translate into better and dignified lives for the populations we serve. Our approach builds local capacity and aggressively incorporates stakeholders in decision-making and program design and implementation. |
| • We believe that urgent problems must be met with solutions that remain viable and withstand the test of time. Our programs and activities bring hope and build sustainability through participation and ownership. |
• We believe in delivering innovative, sensitive, practical solutions. In addition, we develop long-term, multi-project relationships with other government and nongovernmental organizations, research institutions, and universities that share our development goals, principles, and commitment for a better and a safer world. |
Our vision is a world where every human being’s basic needs are fulfilled every day and where the principles of justice and equity are respected. We believe that a world where justice prevails is a world always in peace. We also envision a world where governments embrace the needs and welfare of their citizens, so that all may live in dignity and health.
