She examines the clear notion of globalization, its impact on democracy, governance, gender and economic development. It is widely demonstrated that globalization reflects social relations that are not only forged at an economic and developmental level, but are also present in political systems, social practices, and cultural and environmental spheres. She calls for, “Globalization from below” in response to the need to craft strategies to use globalization for positive social, culture and economic development.
