EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT INTERN:

The IIJD seeks an Executive Assistant Intern to provide administrative support in the Office of the President. Position is based in the Boston Office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Email management – maintain IIJD e-mail accounts, filter emails and flag for follow-up.
Research – conduct light research for the President on potential partnerships, other programmatic work and key
developments in the field as needed.
Records management – maintain and update files for the President
Logistical support – coordinate all administrative and logistical aspects of conferences, seminars and
meetings for the President.
Administrative support – manage the administrative work of the President such as internal and external
  correspondence and expense reports; conduct ad hoc tasks and special projects as needed.
   
QUALIFICATIONS:
Executive Assistant experience is a plus.
Proficiency in MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Foreign language skills a plus. Fluency in French highly recommended.
Strong organizational skills are required along with the ability to meet deadlines and multi-task.
Ability to conduct research is required.
Basic experience in creating and maintaining databases.
Ability to perform light translations
   
PREFERRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
Understanding of contemporary Africa development issues
Interest in Justice and Development issues
Understanding of NGOs environment
