EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT INTERN:
The IIJD seeks an Executive Assistant Intern to provide administrative support in the Office of the President. Position is based in the Boston Office.
| RESPONSIBILITIES: | |
• |
Email management – maintain IIJD e-mail accounts, filter emails and flag for follow-up. |
• |
Research – conduct light research for the President on potential partnerships, other programmatic work and key |
| developments in the field as needed. | |
• |
Records management – maintain and update files for the President |
• |
Logistical support – coordinate all administrative and logistical aspects of conferences, seminars and |
| meetings for the President. | |
• |
Administrative support – manage the administrative work of the President such as internal and external |
| correspondence and expense reports; conduct ad hoc tasks and special projects as needed. | |
| QUALIFICATIONS: | |
• |
Executive Assistant experience is a plus. |
• |
Proficiency in MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. |
• |
Excellent oral and written communication skills required. |
• |
Foreign language skills a plus. Fluency in French highly recommended. |
• |
Strong organizational skills are required along with the ability to meet deadlines and multi-task. |
• |
Ability to conduct research is required. |
• |
Basic experience in creating and maintaining databases. |
• |
Ability to perform light translations |
| PREFERRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS: | |
• |
Understanding of contemporary Africa development issues |
• |
Interest in Justice and Development issues |
• |
Understanding of NGOs environment |
