Research and Collaboration
Research and collaboration are critical to uncovering and understanding real issues affecting people. Through our research, assessments and surveys, the IIJD identifies weaknesses in the judicial system, and offers recommendations and viable solutions for institutional strengthening and reform.

Under the African justice index project, the IIJD applies a set of indicators designed to assess the performance of the justice systems. This index is established and maintained based on research, analysis, and surveys conducted both in African countries and within the Diaspora.

Research and collaboration are also critical to uncovering and understanding real issues affecting people. The IIJD conducts studies, evaluations and surveys in order to identify issues and design or recommend appropriate solutions.

Consulting and Capacity Building
At the IIJD, a team of experts engages in research and analysis, which is critical to uncovering and understanding real issues affecting people. Through assessments and surveys, the IIJD identifies weaknesses in the judicial system, and offers recommendations and viable solutions for institutional strengthening and reform. These activities are at the core of the IIJD’s work to build capacity by empowering people with the know ledge and tools they needs to address their self-defined issues. We work with all stakeholders to find the most efficient solutions and implement them. The IIJD provides technical expertise and assistance to civil society groups, businesses, public and private institutions, and governmental agencies to help improve and maintain the quality of life for their constituencies or communities.
Project Design and Implementation
The IIJD has designed a platform that offers opportunities to Africans in the Diaspora and on the continent to participate in the development of their communities in a most efficient and organized way. Likewise, our justice system reform process is designed around several key steps from assessment through implementation and control, in order to achieve the best results.
Education and Advocacy
To raise awareness and give the IIJD’s perspective about current African events and issues, this program provides a platform to monitor pivotal events in Africa in which justice and development stand at the forefront, and to offer an analysis of the situations to the international community. Our means of action include:
  • The IIJD Newsletter
  • Calls for action
  • The African Prospect
  • IIJD sponsored conferences and seminars
  • An internship program
  • The IIJD leadership exchange initiative
