The goal of the International Conference on the State of the Affairs of Africa was to discuss the root causes of Africa development crisis and set concrete priorities on how to resolve Africa’s persistent poverty. For this conference, the IIJD assembled a diverse group of more than 100 scholars, development professionals, community leaders, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and members of the NGO community for the common purpose of addressing the challenges that beleaguer the lives of countless Africans. After three days of intensive and interactive debate and dialogue, participants identified and prioritized key development objectives.
